Why fly private to Mykonos
Mykonos is the summer capital of the Mediterranean — whitewashed, glamorous, and impossibly photogenic. It's a seasonal market that comes alive from June through September.
Mykonos (JMK) sits minutes from town but has a short runway suited to smaller aircraft. For larger jets, the standard approach is to fly into Athens (ATH) and connect by turboprop or helicopter, or to position the jet elsewhere and arrive by a smaller aircraft.
Choosing your aircraft
From within Europe, a light or midsize jet reaches Mykonos directly when the runway suits. From the Middle East or farther, plan on Athens plus a connection, or a heavy jet positioning into a nearby larger airport.
Arrival tips
July and August are the peak — slots at JMK tighten and resorts fill. Coordinate early. The short runway means weight and wind planning matter on every arrival.
